a locally owned and
family-operated business
established in 1994.
Owner Steven M. Crist
has over more than 23 years
experience in the home
repair and maintenance
field.
Steve started in the
home repair industry in
1985 as a maintenance
helper at a 400+ unit
apartment community
after completing a
one-year course in
Building & Apartment
Maintenance from the
National Association of
Home Builders; Home
Builder's Institute. He
completed this course in
eight months at the top
of his class. Because of
a life-long interest in
locks, he attained a
certification in
locksmithing during this
time as well.
Since then Steve has
attended numerous
seminars in the field of
property management and
home repair, managed and
supervised maintenance
of rental property up to
450 units, and completed
several thousand
work-orders and repair
requests. For

The name "The
Maintenance Shop" comes
from many years of
working in apartment
communities that had a
location on the property
called the maintenance
shop. This shop
contained everything
needed to complete any
task on the property.
Steve wants customers to

one shop that can handle
any repair need they may
have.
