We finished our current list of sprinkler blowouts in the Boise 83712 zip code and all but one in Star because we could not find the shut off valves. We will get it the next time we are in Star with new ones I am sure we will get.
Tuesday we will be doing sprinkler blowouts in the Boise 83716 zip code and then traveling to Kuna afterwards. We normally wouldn't hop all over the valley, but we are trying to get to areas that we haven't done this season before we work our way around again.
The weather has been very cooperative, and with the night temperatures in the 30's and maybe a little lower we are still in good shape for sprinkler blowouts. The ground is still very warm, and with the temperatures warming during the day it will be some time before the freeze reaches deep enough in the ground to creat havoc on a sprinkler system.
New and long-time customers are encouraged to read the post I wrote a few years ago about protecting your sprinkler system from freezing while waiting for sprinkler blowouts. You can read it at "Protect Your Sprinkler System."
We are 100+ sprinkler blowouts ahead of last year at this time, mostly due to the early shutdown of pressurized irrigation in the valley.
