Important News Regarding 2016 Sprinkler Blowouts

We have made some very important changes preparing for the upcoming sprinkler blowouts season:

  • Improved our old compressor by giving it a new pair of legs
  • We're hiring!
  • Updated our Terms Of Service
  • Updated our sprinkler blowouts sign-up form
  • Added a NEW compressor to our arsenal (Yippie!)
  • Invoicing

A New Pair Of Legs

As many of you know, over the last few years we have gone through several tires on our compressor – as many as 6 or 7 in as many weeks. The problem was caused by a bad axle. We looked into replacing the axle, but found it to be too expensive for the age of our machine. I really didn't want to get rid of this compressor, because it is been a workhorse doing over 10,000 sprinkler blowouts for us, and we know it still has a lot of life left. Therefore, we gave it a new set of "legs" by modifying an old truck bed, and and the compressor itself, and dropping it in place. It looks different, but will still do the job it was meant to do.

new-legsWith normal siz tires, and a much better axle, this setup should last for a number of years.  We have also added another hundred feet of hose to our reel to get to those hard to reach locations.

We Are Hiring!

We are in need of someone to run our old machine this season during sprinkler blowouts.  The chosen one will need to have a vehicle able to pull the compressor shown in the picture at shown above, and have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.  This will be a seasonal position running between mid-October through mid-November.  This position pays $15.00 per hour for 40 hours.  Overtime may be available.  If you know anyone who would be interested in this position, send them to this link to fill out our online employment application: http://treasurevalleyrepairs.com/employment.html

Terms Of Service

Unfortunately, we had to update our Terms Of Service.  Every year we get about a dozen or so customers out of nearly 900 that like to make things difficult, or do not even read our terms before checking the box to accept, so these changes are for their benefit as well as our own.  Everyone, including our long-standing customers will have to fill out the form and agree to the terms again this year.

Sprinkler Blowouts Sign-Up Form Update

We have improved our form to help those who sign-up using mobile devices; primarily I-Phones.  I am not a fan of anything with an "apple" on it, but there are those out there that swear by them.  So, this update is for the few, the proud, the apples…..  wink

We would appreciate it if you would sign up now so we can start planning our routes since we are planning on running another machine this year. Click this link to get on our sprinkler blowout list: http://treasurevalleyrepairs.com/blowout_contact.htm

We Have A New Machine!

The sprinkler blowounew-compressort portion of our business has grown more than 300% in the last few years, so we had no choice but to add another machine to our arsenal.  This newer machine is TWICE as powerful as our existing one, which will help immensley when we blow out the large properties on our list.  It will cut time in half at our normal properties as well, which means we will be able to get more accomplished in a day, and then adding our old machine in as well, I hope to really speed up service time.  I still have to outfit this new compressor with a hose reel and hose which will set me back $700.00, but well worth it, don't you think? Invoicing

We have upgraded our software to make paying your sprinkler blowouts invoices even easier than before.  Those who have paid by credit card in the past have been billed through our PayPal service.  We still offer the PayPal option, but now you can pay by credit card or check online at the same location through Intuit.  Before, the option to pay online was by check only through Intuit.  Now you have either option.  Of course, you can still send a check by snail mail as always for those who do not like the convenience of paying online.
