Sprinkler Blowouts: Finishing Eagle and working in Meridian on Friday

We worked hard in Eagle on Thursday, but didn't finish all the sprinkler blowouts we wanted to get done.  We are still running into locked gates, valve boxes we cannot find, and today my assistant played dog catcher twice with the same dog!  I took care of the sprinkler blowout while my assistant Jared chased a yellow lab around the neighborhood for awhile.  The dog was enjoying the chase but I am sure Jared was not.  He borrowed a dog leash from a neighbor that probably felt sorry for him, (Jared, not the dog), and he was finally able to get the dog back into the yard.  When we were almost through with the sprinkler blowout the lab slipped out again by prying at the gate.  When Jared came back with the dog for the second time he wasn't smiling but the dog surely was!  We returned the leash on our way out the neighborhood.  I think maybe I should bring a dog leash with me just in case……

Dog escapes are very rare; we take special precautions to make sure it doesn't happen, but sometimes we get outsmarted.  On these rare occasions we have never lost a pet, so don't worry.  The best scenario of course would be to kennel your dogs if at all possible.

My assistant will be on a vacation in the Caribbean for a week, so I will be doing sprinkler blowouts on my own for the next several days.  I will finish up in Eagle on Friday and then work in Meridian for the rest of the day until dark.  The streets I have left to do in Eagle are:

  • Dogwood Place
  • Riverchase Way
  • Pine Hollow Lane
  • Northview Drive
  • Trailside Drive
  • Island Glenn Way

I won't reach everyone in Meridian on Friday and Saturday, so will continue again after my Boise run.  You can see my tentative route at http://www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com/sprinkler-blowout.html.
