Ready – Set – Sprinkler Blowouts

Well, here we go again with another year of sprinkler blowouts!  If this year is as successful as previous years, and we continue to grow exponentially, we will top 12,000 total sprinkler blowouts this year since we started.  That may not seem like a lot to some of you who have not lived in the Treasure Valley very long, but when we started, Meridian had less a population less than 10,000 which is now more than 90,000.

We currently have around 500 sprinkler blowouts on our list, with about 60% of those on pressurized irrigation.  As most of you know, irrigation systems can hold up quite well against cold temperatures compared to city and pump systems that are brass and many times in the open instead of within a valve box in the ground.  With that, and since we are receiving input from many of our customers that the irrigation supply hasn't been turned off yet in many subdivisions, we are going to start in areas where city water is used.

Today, Monday, October 10, we will be working sprinkler blowouts in the Boise 83702 zip code.  We currently have 21 blowouts in this area, and they are all on city water.  It is not likely we will complete all of them in the area on this pass, mostly because of the horrible traffic and parking situations we run into in the downtown area, but will get as many as we can.  As you know, we always swing around the entire valley several times until all sprinkler blowouts are complete.  Below is a map of our route for today, with starting on Jefferson Street, and with the final destination as Sherman.  Keep in mind the further along the route your home might be is effected by how smoothly the sprinkler blowouts go before it, and whether we have proper access, valve boxes can be located, etc.

If paying by check, please have them ready and made out to, "The Maintenance Shop."

Please make checks out to “The Maintenance Shop.”  The other is just the name of the website.  We were in business long before Al Gore invented the Internet.  🙂
