Over the weekend I was able to clean up our current list of sprinkler blowouts in the 83702, but of course another one popped in while I was out today. Unfortunately that one will have to wait until my next pass through the area.
I am going to spend today and Tuesday in the 83705, and if time allows start the 83706 late Tuesday afternoon. Today I am on my own, but Tuesday I will have help, so should speed things up a bit.
I should get to around 20 of the 83705 today if all goes well, and then the remainder on Tuesday. You can look at the map at the bottom of the page to get an idea where you will fall and on what day.
Tentative Schedule
I have whittled down the list enough now that I believe I can put a tentative schedule together, which honestly, I really don't like to do because I never know what I am going to run into daily that could throw that schedule off.
October 30-31 | 83705 |
November 1-2 | 83706 |
November 3 | Meridian 83642 (City Water Areas) |
November 4 | Melba & Kuna (Primarily City Water Areas) |
November 5 | Caldwell |
November 6 | Middleton and half of Star |
November 7 | Nampa 83651 |
November 8 | Nampa 83686 |
November 9 | (Possible Personal Day Off) |
November 10 | Nampa 83687 |
This Ends The First Pass Through The Valley – (Yee-Haw!!) |
Once we finish the first pass, additional passes go rather quickly with the exception of Meridian and the Boise 83709. Our second pass will be in Meridian 83646, and we will spend a few days there before moving on to the Boise 83709. The other areas such as Eagle, Garden City, and other zip codes in Boise will be able to be doubled-up on the second pass meaning we can get to more than one zip code in a day. Depending on the number of requests, we have been able to go through 3-4 zip codes in a day. We keep doing this until all blowouts are complete. Estimated date of total completion with our CURRENT list is 28 days from now, depending on how many new ones come in, along with cancellations. This is about 12 days earlier than last year, and we not only have received more blowouts than last year, we are completing them earlier, which means our customers are being more cooperative in leaving access when we request it, uncovering valve boxes so we can find them, etc.
The good news is the weather is going to be pretty good during the month of November with the exception of the 4th through I believe the 6th, where the temperatures will drop below freezing. Keep in mind though that it will take all night to get to the lowest temperature in which case it start warming up again quickly, and the ground itself will stay warn for SEVERAL weeks.
