\n\tThere are a lot of poor quality technicians out there doing sprinkler blowouts. They get hold of a compressor, throw signs on street corners, do a poor sprinkler blowout and disappear never to be seen again. The reason they can get away with this is because in reality there are not enough QUALIFIED sprinkler blowout technicians in the valley to handle the workload, which is why many are waiting a month for a sprinkler blowout. I wrote an article about this problem a month or so ago, which will really put the market in perspective. All contractors, including sprinkler blowout technicians, need to be licensed by the State of Idaho, which means their information has been verified and they have met the proper insurance requirements to run a business. If they cannot show you their license, don't let them do your sprinkler blowout. It may turn out okay, but why take the chance? I had a new customer yesterday that got their backflow screwed up requiring an expensive replacement from a poor quality sprinkler blowout last year, and the person who did the blowout was nowhere to be found.\n<\/p>\n \n\tOkay, I'll get off my soapbox.
