We have been sending “Sprinkler Blowout Complete” notices to our customers by text once the job is done along with a picture showing the blowout in progress in the front to prove we were there.\u00a0 A customer who just moved here from another country texted me, “Did you blow up my backyard too?”\u00a0 Knowing what he meant, and since I have spoken to him before and knew he had good sense of humor so I said, “Well, DUH!”\u00a0 He texted back, “I don’t know this word, DUH!\u00a0 What does that mean?”\u00a0 I said that is Enlish for, “You’re kidding, right?” He responded with, “Oh, I get it, Ha Ha, you Americans……..”<\/p>\n
Never a dull moment in Sprinkler Blowout Land……..<\/p>\n
We worked the 83709 and 83642 yesterday and cleaned up most of what we had left except for a few we couldn’t get to because of locked gates, and a couple new ones in the two areas.\u00a0 We will work them in as soon as we can.\u00a0 We have an issue\u00a0 we are going to have to deal with for the remaining two weeks or so we have left on sprinkler blowouts.\u00a0 As you know from reading my previous posts Justin had shoulder surgery 4-5 months ago, and was cleared for duty back at the end of September, but has had some issues come up with it while doing sprinkler blowouts.\u00a0 He went to the doctor and found out he has a level 1 AC joint separation in his shoulder and will have to wear a sling for the next three weeks which put him out of the sprinkler blowout game for the remainder of the season.\u00a0 Jesse can take over with massive overtime, but unfortunately he is not available today and possibly tomorrow, and may have a half-day job to do to\u00a0 do on Wednesday to repair a main valve so the home can be blown out.\u00a0 This is a rental, and usually do not mess with repairs during sprinkler blowouts, but this is for a management company that we have done repairs over the last 5 years for.\u00a0 I may try to see if the owner of the job on Tuesday would be able to wait a little longer, or have him get someone else for the job.\u00a0 Originally it wouldn’t have been a problem because Monday-Wednesday are his normal days off, but with Justin out of the picture there is no way to do it now.\u00a0 What is means in blowout land is for at least the next 2-3 days instead of getting 30 or more blowouts done in a day we will only get 15 or so with me and one rig.\u00a0 I’ll post any changes, but will definitely be on my own for today.<\/p>\n
Those waiting on a schedule will have to wait a little longer while we figure all this out being down one man.\u00a0 Jesse doesn’t mind the overtime.\u00a0 He is very dedicated to his job, and works really hard to try and get these blowouts completed.<\/p>\n
Below is a map of the 83704 zip code where all our blowouts are for the area, following by where I will be for the day.\u00a0 Fortunately the 83704 is not very big, so blowouts are much closer together and should hopefully go a little faster.\u00a0 The pin circled is the reason I am working this area of the zip code today.\u00a0 He was signed up in the zip before anyone else, so I will work around his area.<\/p>\n
