{"id":2993,"date":"2018-11-20T00:00:38","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T07:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/?p=2993"},"modified":"2018-11-19T21:20:51","modified_gmt":"2018-11-20T04:20:51","slug":"sprinkler-blowouts-for-tuesday-november-20-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/sprinkler-blowouts-for-tuesday-november-20-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Sprinkler Blowouts For Tuesday, November 20, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You know that sucking sound you hear when you step in mud and sink a bit and then pull your foot out?\u00a0 That same sound describes my day yesterday&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>I had 16 blowouts on my route yesterday, figuring they would go quickly since most were pretty close together, but I couldn&#8217;t have been more wrong.\u00a0 The first 4 on my route were nothing but problems.\u00a0 Not being able to find sprinkler mains, valves sunk in mud in the valve boxes, backflow preventers so corroded it was difficult to find a place to blow out from, etc.\u00a0 The ones after that went fine, but by then it was too late.\u00a0 The damage to the days schedule had already been done.\u00a0 I know I keep saying this, but we pick up new followers every day.\u00a0 &#8220;This is why we do not schedule appointments.&#8221;\u00a0 Then I get bombarded in the morning with texts before I can even get out of my office, which also slows me down.\u00a0 Today I am making a point to not answer texts unless it is an emergency, so I can actually get on the road at a decent time.<\/p>\n<p>So there were about 5 I didn&#8217;t get to yesterday that I will take care of today and then move on to the area in the map below.\u00a0 Jesse will be digging a 4-foot deep hole to get access to a frost free hose connection that we suspect is leaking that is only a few inches away from the sprinkler main and drain.\u00a0 The water is moving at a pretty good pace, and if not dealt with right away it could turn into the need for Noah and his ark&#8230;&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>The customers on the map below have been notified.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/83704-Tuesday.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2996\" src=\"http:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/83704-Tuesday.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"418\" height=\"620\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/home\/songman\/public_html\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/83704-Tuesday.jpg 418w, https:\/\/www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com\/blog\/home\/songman\/public_html\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/83704-Tuesday-202x300.jpg 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 418px) 100vw, 418px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know that sucking sound you hear when you step in mud and sink a bit and then pull your foot out?\u00a0 That same sound describes my day yesterday&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.
