We are finally caught up with the work unrelated to sprinkler systems that were scheduled before the season started, which means we can concentrate more now on sprinkler related issues.\u00a0 We have jobs coming up next week with fences that are falling down that need a few posts replaced, but everything else is either sprinkler or lawn aeration related.<\/p>\n
We have had a rash of sprinkler main & drain issues that we are weaving in with sprinkler start-ups and other major sprinkler system repairs.\u00a0 As we go through and do start-ups, minor repairs such as replacing a sprinkler head will be taken care of at the time we are there if we have the right parts with us, but otherwise will have to wait until we have at least got most of everyone’s water on.\u00a0 Better to have water on and minor repairs later than to have no water at all……..<\/p>\n
Will be repairing three backflow preventers today that failed there initial tests.\u00a0 I can’t believe how much some parts have gone up since last year.\u00a0 Sometimes it is less expensive to replace the entire device than to fix it.<\/p>\n
Jesse is out today finishing up a main & drain repair that was started yesterday.\u00a0 That is 3 this week already!\u00a0 He will have 2-3 to do next week alternating with start-ups and repairs.\u00a0 I am hoping that by Friday of next week we will have the majority of all water on for our customers who are currently in our database and signed up for this season and can get to the aerating which we are behind on.\u00a0 The good news about aeration is anytime in April and May is good for spring aeration, and September and October for fall aeration.\u00a0 All our fall aeration will be done in September so we can concentrate solely on blowouts from October on.<\/p>\n
We have really been hoping for rain to help keep yards fresh while waiting to get sprinkler systems up and running.\u00a0 We usually get a lot more rain than we have received so far, which we count on to help us out.\u00a0 We are not seeing much if any rain coming for the rest of the month.<\/p>\n
We are looking for help, but so far no luck in finding anyone with the proper skillset, or with a willingness to work.\u00a0 I was hoping there would be a large pool to choose from since many are out of work, but maybe they would rather be a couch potato and live off their stimulus check and unemployment………<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
