I heard on the news today that the low temperature this morning was the lowest on record as far back as 1878 which is when they started keeping records.\u00a0 This is why I tell people they need to pre-winterize their backflows and pumps.\u00a0 You never know what Idaho weather is going to bring, and there are not enough blowout technicians in the valley to handle the workload when this happens…….<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, we had to charge a non-cancellation fee for a blowout in Fruitland today. Our first of the season.\u00a0 That was a LONG drive for nothing when we sent out an email and text to the Fruitland customer as a reminder on Saturday with plenty of time to cancel.\u00a0 Even if someone doesn’t pay attention to their email, a box was checked that they understand the only way to cancel is through the cancellation form, otherwise face a trip charge.<\/p>\n
We have closed down all counties for new requests yesterday except for Ada since Canyon county makes up only about 10 percent of all our blowouts.\u00a0 That being said, we have made the decision to finish Canyon county before we start around on our second pass elsewhere.\u00a0 That way we can be finished in the area and not worry about new requests to get to on our next pass.\u00a0 We have closed down Star & Middleton to new requests as well.<\/p>\n
Speaking of Star and Middleton, we will make a quick pass to go through a few we couldn’t do yesterday because of either not being able to find valves or gates we couldn’t get through.<\/p>\n
Now there is a high probability some of the addresses on the end of each route will likely carry over until tomorrow.\u00a0 I will post the information with tomorrow’s post.<\/p>\n
