I didn’t get very far yesterday in backflow tests or start-ups because of a backflow emergency in Avimor that took a few hours out of my day with travel time. Here is hoping for a better day tomorrow. I will post what I want my route to be today, but there seem to be no guarantees lately.\u00a0 It is more sad than funny, but I am getting texts from people wanting their water turned on before their yards dry up and I’m thinking to myself, “Yeh, you, and probably 10,000 other people in this valley……”<\/p>\n
Speaking of texts, I couldn’t even get out of my office until noon yesterday because it was one text after another.\u00a0 I couldn’t get my paperwork done so I could leave to get my fieldwork done.\u00a0 I use a computer texting program, so with being able to type 70 words a minute it doesn’t take that long to respond, but when it’s one right after the other……<\/p>\n
I have to keep Jacob in the 83709 for at least one more day, and then will move on to another location for Thursday.\u00a0 I will evaluate tonight what to do about Thursday and let people know by text and email.\u00a0 That is why I post every day during our busy seasons.\u00a0 I can’t control who receives their texts and emails because that is out of my hands once it leaves my system, but I can control what appears on the blog since it is MINE.\u00a0 Sorry if I am blunt and to the point, but if you are using Yahoo, AOL, or Hotmail for your email they suck.\u00a0 I think I have mentioned before that I have actually received emails from customers with a Yahoo email address and then when I respond it bounces back as undeliverable….. And don’t get me started on iPhones……..<\/p>\n
As I said earlier, Jacob will be in the 83709 again today doing a combination of sprinkler start-ups and backflow tests.\u00a0 Jacob has 13 stops on his route, and it may not seem like very many, but it takes a lot longer to do Package B and D requests than A and C.\u00a0 Here is Jacob’s route for today:<\/p>\n
