Yep, today is the big day!\u00a0 Three weeks earlier than usual……<\/p>\n
The next few weeks are going to be interesting, to say the least.\u00a0 We have three technicians, and still searching for one more, and Jacob will be gone Wednesday through next Monday in Texas for vacation since we didn’t realize until quite a bit later that irrigation was being shut down early. That being said, there will only be two guys out in the field for most of the week unless we find one more person to get us through this season.<\/p>\n
It is always tough doing routing at the beginning of the season.\u00a0 Normally it is because we have to disregard irrigation customers and concentrate on the city, well, and pump systems while we wait for irrigation to shut down around the valley. It is reversed this year.\u00a0 We have to disregard city, well, and pump systems and route irrigation customers first this time around.\u00a0 Routing is a LOT easier when we can count everyone in.<\/p>\n
Jesse will be training our new guy tomorrow.\u00a0 His name is Jerry and is the grandson of a friend of ours from church who moved up here from Texas.\u00a0 He just turned 20, is quite bright, and is 6’5″.\u00a0 Be sure to welcome him if he is on your route today.\u00a0 I am only putting 20 stops for each machine today, but they will likely get them finished and still have room for more, so I will add some new ones in.\u00a0 Some will get a surprise visit.\u00a0 I haven’t included them here because I can’t guarantee a visit, plus since it is the beginning of the season I expect we will pick up several off the street that stop the guys while on their route.<\/p>\n
