For those keeping up with what is going on in Sprinkler Blowout Land, you know the two brothers, Austin & Logan, quit yesterday morning. Jesse was about to let one of them go anyway but come to find out he was adding time to his time card that he wasn’t on the job. Time theft is not cool!<\/p>\n
There are those out there that think sprinkler blowouts are easy. When we were advertising for a “Sprinkler Blowout Technician” someone responded to our ad and laughed at the title saying sprinkler blowouts are easy, and anyone can do them. That is definitely not the case at all. A “Sprinkler Blowout Technician” has to understand pumps, wells, the various backflow preventers, different valve configurations, psi, cfm, piping, etc., and then all the screwy home-grown systems that look like a game of Tetris. Then there is the billing process and other paperwork to track all the jobs in our propriety system. Really not that easy…….<\/p>\n
We are hiring again obviously, but we may have one to come on board sometime next week when he finishes blowouts for a small company. I guess they do a few hundred or so. When I told him we get 3,000-5,000 requests a season he said, “Wow, That is INSANE!” Insane is right, I lose my marbles every year around this time……<\/p>\n
So, since the brothers quit, we have their routes to do today, and here they are…….<\/p>\n
