We don’t check the blog regularly during that time unless we have something urgent to share with the public. This blog was created to provide updates on sprinkler blowouts only, as we handle over 5,000 requests each season.

Last year, we operated four rigs, and I’m happy to announce that this year we’ll have six on the road. With just 25 days until we kick off the season on October 7, we’re working hard to finalize all scheduled jobs and ensure our equipment is tuned up and ready. Our goal is to complete 500-650 blowouts per week with six rigs. Initially, we’ll have only three rigs running as we team up three new hires with three veteran technicians, but training should go smoothly since two of the new guys already have years of experience.

Having six rigs will also help reduce cancellations from those who may not understand how the weather works in this area. As many of you know, the ground stays warm for a while. In fact, we had an emergency blowout request this past January when it was 13 degrees outside with snow on the ground, and it went as smoothly as if it were early October.

Each year, we face issues with impersonators trying to steal our business. To address this, we’re planning to have our technicians wear lanyards with badges featuring their photo, along with our company name and logo. Our machines are also named for easy tracking and identification. This year’s lineup includes “Cyclone,” “Purple Rain,” “Leroy,” and “Orange Julius,” with two new additions: “The Grinch” and “Blowzilla.” Naming our machines helps us monitor fuel consumption and track their use. Plus, our customers can recognize them as ours, as the names are displayed on the back of each machine.

Our returning technicians are Jesse, Brian, and Todd, and our newest team members are Danny, Alex, and Josh. I’ll post their photos on the blog once the season begins.

As always, our calendar and stats pages will be active. We aim to follow the calendar as closely as possible, though last-minute changes may be necessary.

Feel free to leave any comments on this post, and I’ll get back to you. Our next update will likely be posted late on October 6 or early October 7 with details on the opening day route.

Here’s hoping for a smooth and productive season. Thank you for your business.

First, I’d like to apologize to those whose comments went unanswered over the summer.
