After careful consideration, we\u2019ve decided to complete all blowouts in Nampa, Caldwell, and Middleton before moving on. This will allow us to close out our work in Canyon County and stop accepting new requests from the area. Canyon County makes up only 7% of our seasonal blowouts, compared to 35% in Meridian alone. Our next largest area is the 83709 zip code, which accounts for 10% of our blowouts. Once Canyon County is finished, we\u2019ll move to other areas, including Boise, Eagle, and Meridian. We\u2019ve already started in Kuna and plan to complete as many blowouts as possible, though we won\u2019t finish entirely. However, we aim to reduce the workload in Kuna to a manageable level before moving on. As always, we will continue making multiple rounds throughout the valley until all blowouts are done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re starting our third week, and the crew is already fatigued. This job isn’t for everyone. Today, we’re welcoming Brian back to the team, and we also have a potential new hire who will need training before they can work independently. I may have mentioned this before, but it always makes me laugh (and a bit frustrated) when people on social media say, “Blowouts are easy, and anyone can do them.” That might be true if you only handle a few hundred, but it\u2019s a different story when you’re responsible for thousands. Sprinkler blowouts are demanding work and must be done no matter the weather, whether it\u2019s sunny or pouring down rain. We do draw the line at lightning storms. Those water keys make really handy lightning rods. This has been our motto for years:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
