Starting Sunday, November 10, all new requests will be processed at a higher rate, reflecting a $10 increase, consistent with our policy over the past 15 years. On December 1, there will be an additional $10 increase for new requests submitted from that date onward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sometimes receive questions from customers who signed up in October, asking if their existing costs would increase after November 10. The answer is no. Our sign-up form clearly states that the price increase applies only to new requests starting November 10. If the price increase is applied to all requests, we would wait until November 10 to start sprinkler blowouts, which is not feasible. LOL<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have encountered several instances of non-cancellations, which I find puzzling. If a service is no longer needed, our form clearly explains how to cancel, and this is outlined in the terms of service agreed to when signing up. Additionally, we send a notification text the night before, providing another opportunity to cancel. Despite these measures, we have had 19 non-cancellations so far. While some customers have paid their non-cancellation fees, others have responded with statements like, “I never heard from anyone about an appointment time, so I found someone else,” and “I never signed up for service.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, we send daily updates during sprinkler blowout season, so communication is consistent. Some customers did not read the terms stating that direct contact would only occur the night before our visit. Second, service requests don\u2019t appear on their own; someone must fill out the form and submit it, which then automatically updates our spreadsheet. During busy periods, I can watch this spreadsheet populate with new requests, one after another\u2014it\u2019s impressive to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthony experienced vehicle issues on Friday, so after Jesse and Reese completed their assigned route, they began working on Anthony’s route. There are still 8 or 9 blowouts on his route, which we will handle today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My nephew Reese will be working alone today. If Anthony’s vehicle issues are resolved, four rigs will operate throughout the week. Jesse will train a new team member today and Tuesday and another on Wednesday and Thursday. This means we could have five rigs running by Friday. “The Grinch” is having an issue staying started, so we have to get that taken care of by the end of the day on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
