Last night, I was texting with Brian, one of our technicians, and he shared this observation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I\u2019m still puzzled by the contrast between customers. At one house, they greet me by name because they follow the blog. At the next, I\u2019m treated like a door-to-door solar panel salesperson about to be kicked off the porch\u2014until I explain why I\u2019m there. Then they say they\u2019ve never heard from you.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I explained to him that the reason is simple: those who claim they “never heard from us” didn\u2019t read the terms or pay attention. They either ignore their notification texts or set their phones to block messages from unknown numbers. It\u2019s ironic, considering they signed up for a service stating they\u2019ll be notified via text. But they\u2019d have to read the terms and follow the instructions to understand that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our system is straightforward, but every year, there\u2019s always a group that makes it unnecessarily complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If everything goes as planned this week, we should complete around 350 sprinkler blowouts by Friday. This would allow us to finish the remaining jobs on our current list by next Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope we get about 200 more blowouts beyond what\u2019s currently on the list, but we\u2019ll see how things unfold. Every year, we get last-minute procrastinators who either forgot to schedule their blowout or new homeowners who just discovered their sprinklers weren\u2019t winterized before closing. We understand both situations and will ensure they\u2019re taken care of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We might even reopen parts of Canyon County or Star to see if additional requests come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
