Saturday was a soggy, miserable day in Sprinkler Blowout Land, but the crew powered through like champs. Despite the rain trying to wash away their motivation, they knocked out their routes \u2014 well, all except two on Challis\u2019s list, where daylight called it quits before he could. He\u2019ll wrap those up today before tackling his regular route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of Challis, he\u2019s decided to stick around for at least the next week. That\u2019s great news for us and for him \u2014 he\u2019ll earn some extra rent money, and we get the help we sorely need. Amazing what a little cash motivation can do. It\u2019s good to have him back in the ranks of The Maintenance Shop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a friendly reminder that we are<\/em> in Idaho \u2014 where Mother Nature likes to toy with our emotions. One day it\u2019s sunny and mild, and the next we wake up to a surprise freeze, only to warm back up again for weeks. If you\u2019ve got a backflow sitting above ground, check out the links at the bottom of this post for tips. And if it\u2019s a PVB, toss a bucket over it. Think of it like tucking in your tomatoes for the night to keep the frost off \u2014 same concept, just a little less tasty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve got a monthly readership of around 10,000 current and former customers \u2014 which is awesome, and we truly appreciate every one of you. Still, it amazes me how many folks have no idea<\/em> this blog even exists. It\u2019s not like we haven\u2019t left enough breadcrumbs to follow\u2026 even Hansel and Gretel could\u2019ve found their way here by now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
