Services are moving right along here in Sprinkler Blowout Land. At the rate we\u2019re going, it looks like we\u2019ll finish the bulk of our blowouts earlier than expected. And by \u201cbulk,\u201d I mean the folks who signed up sometime this century \u2014 not the ones who wait until their lawn sounds crunchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re still getting new requests every day, but the schedule is steady and manageable. Don\u2019t get me wrong \u2014 we\u2019re not ready to shut things down just yet. We actually like our job, chaos and all. So I\u2019ve put out a few feelers to catch those classics: \u201cOops\u2026 I forgot to blow out my sprinklers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I get it \u2014 life happens. But I still can\u2019t help but wonder how anyone forgets when we\u2019re out here leaving a breadcrumb trail of tow-behind compressors, air hoses, and giant bursts of compressed air echoing through the subdivisions. It\u2019s like driving past a parade every day and then being shocked to learn a parade was happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But hey\u2026 we\u2019re here for the procrastinators too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eddie will be working a full day today, but Ben can only knock out about half a normal load \u2014 he\u2019s got a commitment early this afternoon. He\u2019ll make up the remaining work on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of the weekend\u2026 Eddie is begging for more work. Or maybe \u201cbegging\u201d isn\u2019t the right word \u2014 more like confidently claiming he can handle it, right up until the moment he remembers he\u2019s human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If he works this weekend, that puts him straight into Monday through Friday next week as well. That\u2019s 12 days in a row.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twelve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that doesn\u2019t drop him straight into his recliner for a 48-hour recovery nap afterward, I don\u2019t know what will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But hey \u2014 the man loves his job. Even if his job occasionally tries to see how much love he really has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
