It\u2019s Monday, and let me say: if today\u2019s update sounds a little scattered, it\u2019s because I\u2019m currently operating on a powerful pharmaceutical blend of DayQuil, NyQuil, and Benadryl, along with whatever’s left of my immune system. My head feels like it\u2019s packed with wet insulation, and my brain is running at about 14 frames per second. Dial-up speeds. Maybe even AOL in 1998<\/em> speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually had something extremely<\/em> important I was going to talk about today \u2014 a genuinely useful, insightful topic that would have made me look organized and professional. Unfortunately, the moment this head cold kicked in, it must have dropped that thought off at the lost-and-found and never came back for it. So until that memory decides to respawn, here\u2019s what I can<\/strong> remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re officially entering the final stretch of sprinkler blowout season. Looks like we\u2019ve got about 4\u20136 days left for everyone who signed up on time, plus the usual handful of \u201cOops\u2026 I forgot to blow out my system\u201d messages that always roll in around this point. No judgment \u2014 know we\u2019re nearing the point where the calendar starts giving us side-eye. We\u2019ll stay open into January for the folks who forget \u2014 because nothing says \u201choliday spirit\u201d like a last-minute panic text and a frozen manifold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crews are still hammering away out there while I sit here sounding like a congested goose and trying to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Tomorrow is going to be a long day \u2014 Sheila has her next back surgery first thing in the morning \u2014 so I\u2019m trying to tie up what I can today before we head into that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if this post reads like it was written by someone who sneezed out half their brain cells\u2026 well, that\u2019s pretty accurate. But hey, it\u2019s Monday, we\u2019re still moving forward, and we\u2019re closing in on the end of another wild season in Sprinkler Blowout Land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
