Halloween at The Maintenance Shop: The Real House of Horrors! \ud83c\udf83\ud83d\udc7b<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

It’s October 31, and while everyone else is worrying about ghosts, goblins, witches, and things that go bump in the night, we’ve been dealing with things far more terrifying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to our annual Sprinkler Blowout House of Horrors!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forget haunted houses. We’ve got:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf83 The Phantom Customer:<\/strong> Signs up for a sprinkler blowout, disappears when we arrive, and leaves a locked gate behind. Some say they’re still out there, waiting for us to call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc7b The Ghost of Irrigation Past:<\/strong> That sprinkler system nobody has touched in 20 years, with a valve box buried somewhere beneath three inches of dirt, two feet of landscaping, and possibly an ancient civilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udddf The Zombie Backflow Preventer:<\/strong> It looks dead. It acts dead. But somehow, the moment you touch it, it comes back to life and starts spraying water everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd87 The Vampire Compressor:<\/strong> Instead of drinking blood, it drains batteries, fuel tanks, and occasionally our will to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc80 The Skeleton in the Valve Box:<\/strong> You open the lid expecting a valve. Instead, you find enough spiders to qualify the property as a wildlife sanctuary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\uddd9 The Wicked Witch of Scheduling:<\/strong> She casts a spell that makes every customer in the same neighborhood sign up three weeks apart, preferably five minutes after we’ve finished working on their street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then there’s the most frightening creature of all…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE LAST-MINUTE SIGNUP!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears out of nowhere, usually after the temperature drops below freezing, demanding immediate service because, apparently, winter arrived without sending a personal invitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Back at the Office…<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our office is haunted by its own mysterious creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s the email that says, “I know you’re busy, but…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The phone call that begins, “This should only take a minute…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the customer who insists, “I filled out the form!” even though our records show otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the scariest sound of all?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A technician calling the office and saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hey, we’ve got a little problem…”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those six words have been known to age a business owner approximately eleven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Joking Aside…<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We’re still out there working our way through the Treasure Valley, one sprinkler system at a time, trying to protect your irrigation systems from the real monster: Idaho winter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We appreciate our customers, our hardworking technicians, and everyone who helps keep this annual circus moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have a safe and happy Halloween!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And remember…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you hear strange noises coming from your sprinkler system tonight, it’s probably just a ghost.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
