Being a Veteran, I seriously thought about taking the day off from sprinkler blowouts, but after looking at the enormous amount of requests for sprinkler blowouts that came in yesterday while we were in the field, I thought better of it. We received 53 new sprinkler blowouts on Monday, which other than the return email sign-ups we get from previous customers it is the largest amount we have ever received in one day. That isn't the only record we broke this year. Last year we did a total of 514 sprinkler blowouts, and our current list has 704. We have already completed more sprinkler blowouts this season than we had last year in total.
We cleaned out our current list of sprinkler blowouts in the Boise, 83702, 83703, 83704, and 83705 zip codes on Monday except for one which was having issues that we will be returning to. Of course, of the 53 new sprinkler blowouts we received on Monday, several were back in the same area we just left. We will pick them up our next time through. All the new requests that came in Monday, and hereafter, have the base price of $40 which goes up from $30 on November 10 of each year.
Today we will be doing sprinkler blowouts in Nampa and Caldwell. We will start in Caldwell and finish up in Nampa. However, we currently have 26 total sprinkler blowouts in the area, so it is unlikely we will reach them all this trip. Since we have so many to do, if we cannot find valve boxes in a very short period of time we are moving on. We waste a lot of time looking for valve boxes that are buried under leaves, grass, rocks, bark, lawn mowers, and even dog houses. Don't forget that it states in our terms of service that you need to uncover the boxes so we can find them. if possible, leave access to your sprinkler timer, then we won't have to worry about valve boxes.
