Another Day Of Garden City Before We Move On

We should finish our current list of Garden City today.  If any new ones come in tomorrow they will have to wait until we swing through the area again after we have hit all the other areas at least once.

Many of the areas can be completed in one day, but we are currently concentrating on the ones with the heaviest traffic to get the numbers down, and those on city water.  I will have my assistant with me today, so we may even sneak over to another area when we are done.  Possibly the 83713 to get a jump on the weekend.  We are only doing two days at a time for high request areas so that we can move on to the other zip codes.  Areas with more than two days worth of blowouts will be taken care of on our next pass.  As all our long-time customers know, we make several passes around the valley.

Regarding Cancellations

It is fine to cancel, but do not send me an email, text, post in comments on this blog etc., that you are cancelling, because all cancellations have to be done on the cancellation form as described in the terms of service or it does not count.  Cancellations have to be submitted a minimum of 12 hours before we have added your property to the schedule.  We will still cancel your request if it is late, but there will be a $25 charge for this as also outlined in the terms of service agreed to when sprinkler blowout sign-ups were submitted.  Why are we doing this?  Because we literally spend HOURS putting together our routes as efficiently as possible, and when someone cancels at the last minute it messes up our route, in which case we have to start all over again which takes time we could be utilizing on sprinkler blowouts.  There is a lot of time spent behind the scenes in preparation for each day's events.

We are getting requests who cancel almost immediately after submitting.  An easy way to avoid this is to read the terms of service BEFORE submitting your form so time isn't wasted on all ends.  Our system isn't for everyone, but we have more than a 90% approval rate on our method of scheduling, organization, and quality of the sprinkler blowouts themselves.  Our long-time customers wait on us because they know they get a quality sprinkler blowout, and that they will not be forgotten.

However, if you wish to cancel your sprinkler blowout, here is the link: http://treasurevalleyrepairs.com/cancellation.html

Don't Get Burned

There are a lot of poor quality technicians out there doing sprinkler blowouts.  They get hold of a compressor, throw signs on street corners, do a poor sprinkler blowout and disappear never to be seen again.  The reason they can get away with this is because in reality there are not enough QUALIFIED sprinkler blowout technicians in the valley to handle the workload, which is why many are waiting a month for a sprinkler blowout.  I wrote an article about this problem a month or so ago, which will really put the market in perspective. Here is the link: http://www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com/blog/ulut

If you choose to get a sprinkler blowout from someone else, especially those you find off a street corner, traveling down your street, or from a phone number in Craigslist, ask them for their license.  All contractors, including sprinkler blowout technicians, need to be licensed by the State of Idaho, which means their information has been verified and they have met the proper insurance requirements to run a business.  If they cannot show you their license, don't let them do your sprinkler blowout.  It may turn out okay, but why take the chance?  I had a new customer yesterday that got their backflow screwed up requiring an expensive replacement from a poor quality sprinkler blowout last year, and the person who did the blowout was nowhere to be found.

Today's Route

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox.  The map below shows our route for today.  There are 25 on our route, but #24 and #25 are not visible so I could enlarge to make it easier on the eyes.  #24 and #25 are Mystic Cove and 39th Street.  Click on the picture to get a larger view.

    Hello Steven,

I'm enjoying reading your posts, sorry though for the troubles of course. I didn't use my sprinklers this year, my neighbor has kept me green and mown, he ran a pump from his irrigation again and watered my place.

I'm quite ill, nursing home ill, but still have my mind and have the ok of my Dr to live at home and not have to die in a nursing home. Have signed the papers, have ladies that come and do my home care and take me to the market, phamacy and such.

Just wanted to let you know, and do keep me on your mailing list as I do enjoy your posts. And yes, you're worth the wait, so give em heck and lets see those stats!

    Sincerely,

Maxine, Sorry to hear your health is declining, but happy you get the opportunity to stay at home.  I really like your property, and enjoyed making an appearance there a few times a year on my rounds.  Happy to hear you have someone taking care of that great piece of land for you.  Thanks for subscribing to my posts, and tolerating them when I get on a tangent……..

If you need anything let me know.  I would be happy to stop by after sprinkler blowouts are finished for the season.

      Please keep in touch.

      Steve
