Ben got hold of me late last night saying he wanted some hours today, so this post will be short and sweet to get the ball rolling. I’m starting to think he’s got a sixth sense for calling just as I’m about to relax for the night. I gave him a route close to his house — figured if he’s that eager to work, the least I can do is save him some windshield time.
Not much to report from yesterday’s blowouts — just a few locked gates and a couple of systems that look like they’ve seen better days. Some might need major repairs before we can finish blowing them out. You’d think after all these years, I’d be used to gates that refuse to open and sprinkler systems held together by hope, duct tape, and a prayer to the irrigation gods — but here we are.
