Sprinkler Blowouts For Wednesday, November 12, 2025

I find it fascinating — in the last 30 days, this blog has had 20,675 visitors, yet every day I get texts from customers who clearly have no idea it even exists. You’d think with that many readers, word would’ve gotten around by now — or at least they would’ve read the terms and their confirmation email.

Granted, a lot of that traffic comes from repeat visitors who keep up with life here in Sprinkler Blowout Land even after their work is done. But we’re getting new readers every day, too, which means this little corner of the internet is still alive and well.

Maybe someday everyone will know where to find updates, schedule info, and a bit of our daily chaos — but until then, I’ll keep writing, shaking my head, and answering the same texts I already wrote entire posts about.

I forgot to mention that about a week ago, I created a static page on this blog that will always be available. It’s titled “Understanding Freezing Temperatures and Sprinkler Systems,” and it explains cold weather and sprinkler systems in plain English. You don’t need a doctorate in physics to understand it (though if you have one, you’ll still enjoy the pictures).

Challis won’t be with us the rest of this week — apparently, his other job called dibs. We’ve known all along he was technically “on loan,” but that doesn’t mean we have to like sharing. He’ll be back Monday, and we’ll be glad to have him — mainly because things just run smoother when the band’s back together.
