Scheduled an interview for yesterday — and surprise, another no-show. I’m honestly not sure what’s going on with people anymore. This one had been bugging me all week to set something up, telling me how much he “really wanted to work,” gave me the whole motivational speech… and then doesn’t show up. I’ve got another interview set for this morning, so we’ll see how that one goes. At this point, I’d have better odds hiring Bigfoot — at least he’s been spotted a few times, has a better attendance record, though I’m not sure he’d fit in a truck. Maybe I should start advertising in the forest instead of online. 🌲
Today’s Joe’s day off — as it is every Thursday — but he’ll be back at it on Friday and working Saturday as usual. He managed to clean up the mess left behind by Ryan (the guy who quit an hour after he started), and wrapped up nearly everything on his route yesterday. The only stragglers were thanks to a few problem systems, a bad address, and — of course — a locked gate. If I had a dollar for every locked gate, I could retire early and buy a house next to Bigfoot.
