This is my wife’s birthday today. In the olden days back before we had employees I was doing 800+ sprinkler blowouts by myself and during that time since I was gone all day and in the office half the night working on scheduling, invoicing, etc., my wife was neglected for about 7-8 weeks. I made a change several years back to take her birthday off and spend the day with her. I will have to work in the office most of today, but at least I am near by to spend some quality time with her. And then there is that Tucanos dinner tonight…
If you noticed, I haven’t mentioned my nephew Challis in the last few days. He contracted food poisoning, or that is what we suspect, so he missed the last two days. He will be training with Jesse again today, and hopefully, we can get him out on his own for Thursday. We surely need to get as many rigs out as possible.
We have a new guy that was supposed to start today and train with Kelly, but he is a no-show. Sure is a lot of that going around. I really don’t understand the people that have no respect to at least call in and say they aren’t going to take the job. I have been working since I was 12 years old, and after serving my country in the military I was back to working again. I can’t recall when I was not working. At the age of 12, I painted my first house. It was a small, two-bedroom single-level house of about 1000 square feet, and I painted the entire outside with a brush…
We are continuing our onslaught of the 83709 today as well as the 83704. We will be adding Meridian to the mix in the next few days. Be sure to check out our stats page to see how we are doing. According to our stats, we are 66% contained overall and should be able to finish in the next 14 business days if all goes well. We will have a price increase for new requests on November 10 as we always do each year, so that might slow down the new requests somewhat. Usually, by then there aren’t very many companies left doing blowouts. We raise the price for two reasons. One, it slows down on requests, and another is that as we get closer to finishing the stops become farther apart so they take longer to get to which costs us more money to keep techs and fuel supplied.

Hi Steven, I got an email almost a month ago saying I will be on the route the next day but I haven’t got an invoice or anything. It was right around when you were having text issues. Just checking to see if mine was done.
Sherry, I don’t see any emails to your email address this year. The one I have is dated 11/11/2021. We have not made it to your location yet, but we will very soon as we are concentrating on Meridian and a few Boise zip codes this week
Do you know when you will be hitting Aleut?
I do not. We do routes for each day the night before because customers come and go, so I won’t know when we will be at your particular location until the night before and then I pass that on to you.
Funny that you mentioned Tucanos and food poisoning in the same post, since my daughter and I got food poisoning there last Saturday. Hope you and your wife didn’t suffer the same fate!
Sorry that happened to you. We haven’t had any problems at Tucanos. In December we hold our end-of-the-year party there for our employees and their wives/husbands.
