Oops! I was so tired when I wrote the blog post for yesterday that I forgot to publish it. I just posted it a few minutes ago, but this one should show on top as the newest.
Yesterday didn’t go completely as planned, so I didn’t get to all the backflow tests that I had planned, so will pick them up today and add some more. I do have to make an unplanned emergency trip to Avimor about a backflow assembly, and stop off at a home of a friend in the 83704 who has two toilets in his home and neither are working properly so they have actually been going to a local construction site to use the portables…… Can’t let that keep happening. Afterwards I will be all over Ada county again doing backflow tests.
Sprinkler start-ups with backflow tests will start to taper off soon so we can spend our time concentrating on pressurized irrigation systems. We hear more and more areas are getting water now, but also hearing it gets shut down several times as they make repairs. The last thing we need is to go to a property and get the water on only to have it shut off again while we are there. It may be hard to believe, but it has happened to us several times, and actually happened to me on Wednesday.
Jacob had issues of his own yesterday. Some start-ups took a lot longer than expected, and he had an issue that I had to leave my route to help him and it took 2 hours out of our day. He will be doing a backflow test this morning and then start-ups all day in the 83709.
Here is Jacob’s route for tomorrow in order:
E Meadowgrass St
N Decatur Dr
W Lewisburg Court
W Bodley Dr
White Cloud
White Cloud Dr
Brookover Dr
W Fernwood Dr
W Lion
S Chex Way
W Snohomish St
W Kingsbriar Dr
W Henry’s Lake Dr
W Lillywood Dr
Next week we will be picking up on some loose ends with city water and then start hitting pressurized irrigation areas quickly. Also next week we are going to start working in lawn aeration in the same areas we are doing start-ups. We are still behind schedule, but plugging along. It sure would be nice to have an extra hand to help out. We do have the new guy coming on in a few weeks, but we need another person anyway to help with our summer workload.
Is Tana Ct, Meridian one of the backflow visits next week?
Yes! Monday
Just to let you know the irrigation water is on in the Rockhampton subdivision.
Thanks for the info. We will be working in pressurized irrigation and pump systems with city and well systems starting Monday, April 19.
