Sprinkler Blowouts for Tuesday, October 23, 2018

We took care of 32 sprinkler blowouts in the Meridian 83642 on Monday, and then came back to the office to find about 7 more.  So in the last two days in the area we did 78 sprinkler blowouts in the 83642. We currently have 44 left to do as of this writing, which we will take care of on our next pass in the area.  I wish we could just stay in Meridian a little longer, but there are areas that we haven’t been to yet; Caldwell, Nampa, Kuna, Star, Middleton, Emmett, Melba, Hidden Springs, Garden City, and the Boise 83709 which we will start on today.

We are planning on working in the Boise 83709 for two days, which will only cut our current list in half, but like I have said previously, once we make our first pass through all areas the next time around goes much faster.  We will double-up with two compressors in the areas with a larger list of jobs to do, and then zip codes with less to do we can take two zip codes at once.

We still want to get to as many customers on city and well water with backflow preventers first, since those on irrigation can go quite some time without issue when the temperature drops.  So today we will concentrate our efforts in the area North of the Interstate between Cloverdale and Curtis Rd.  We currently have 27 in that area, and we like to get at least 30 in a day, so if there  is time we might venture a litle bit South of the Interstate.  That is a good spread of real estate between Cloverdale and Curtis Rd., so we have to consider travel time.  I will start on one end of the area while Justin starts on the other.  Those in that route will receive a text message.  We have heard from a few customers that they have not received some of our texts.  Unfortunately, we cannot do much about that.  That would be between them and their service provider.

Wednesday we will survey the area for where the largest cluster of requests are so we can complete more in a shorter time period.

Just for fun, I thought I would show you the overall view of our current requests in the Boise 83709.  It looks a little overwhelming, but it actually isn’t when you’ve been at this a long time.  We are used to it.  It’s tough being in the #1 spot on Google and Bing for sprinkler blowouts.  🙂

I am in the same area. It seems they will pick us up next time around.

We won’t forget you. We never forget anyone. The glory of our automated system that stores everything in a database. No room for human error. Weather is still great, and don’t expect the ground temperature to get anywhere near freezing for another month or later. Every day we get these warm temperatures is another day that the ground gets heated up
