Bruno is a no-show today, so I have pulled Mike from his normal route to take over Bruno’s. It is our policy to not make it to a route two days in a row. Therefore, Mike’s normal route today will be moved to Saturday since Brian needs some extra hours. I apologize for the inconvenience.
End Of Important Update!
I had another “incident” with a customer with a Yahoo email address yesterday evening named Nick. His turn for a blowout was coming up today so we sent him our normal night before notification and not long after it was sent I got the riot act for not “communicating” until now. Granted, the majority of the situation was his fault for not reading our terms as he said he did, but it wouldn’t have gotten this far had he received the emails I had sent out over the last month. Most of our Yahoo customers were paying attention and commented on this blog that they hadn’t received the emails I had mentioned previously, but it doesn’t help with the big picture. I am at a loss when it comes to what I call “junk” email. Most of my heartburn comes from problems with Yahoo, Hotmail, and AOL email subscribers. I had one customer yesterday tell me he didn’t get any of my emails, and he admits that AOL is not reliable, but he has so many contacts from 30 years of being with AOL it would take him forever to switch and contact everyone. Fortunately, he is reading our daily posts.
There are some with G-mail addresses that didn’t get our emails this season, but that is few and far between. NONE of our emails get through to Yahoo, AOL, or Hotmail customers. My mother-in-law has had AOL for 30 years as well and she doesn’t get my emails either. I usually just text or call her if I have something to say. The reason this blog exists in the first place is because we knew that, 1. this is the best way to communicate with a LOT of people at once, and 2. because we have full control over this blog. We have no control over someone’s emails. I don’t know what the answer is. I have contemplated setting up our forms (backflow testing, sprinkler startup, lawn aeration, cancellation, and sprinkler blowout) next year (if possible) to not accept any emails from Yahoo, Hotmail, or AOL. Karen, one of our LONG-time customers from Garden City who now lives in Star dumped her Yahoo email and went to G-mail and hasn’t missed an email since. Let me know your thoughts………
We are still in the cleanup phase today for all areas but Meridian and the 83709. We will be taking a 4-day weekend for the holiday, but Brian mentioned working Saturday since it is a short week. Next week on Monday we begin our “slaughter” of Meridian and the 83709, and should have all blowouts completed by Friday. If not, we will only have the newest requests to get which Jesse can handle on his own at that point. We have been hit pretty hard the last few days. Some are telling me the reason is because they got stood up by the company they originally signed with. That is one of the reasons we run as long as we do, to help them out so they don’t get stuck. As of this moment, we have taken our 3,323rd request for the season.

I’m on the list for 83709 will be covered soon? I didn’t see any new information for it.
Teresa, we have been posting nearly every other day about the 83709. We are finishing up all the surrounding areas so we can concentrate on the 83709 and Meridian to finish all by Friday, December 1, or at least all the requests that aren’t new within the last week or so. Stay tuned
I have hotmail, and don’t have problems receiving emails. But still waiting for my sprinkler blow out in Meridian. I sent my request in mid October.
