We are starting our 6th week of sprinkler blowouts today. Time sure flies when you’re having fun……….
We should be finished by Thanksgiving unless we get some last-minute sign-ups, but the price goes up on November 10 for those procrastinators that wait until the 10th or later to sign up.
We “thinned the herd” over the weekend by the email we sent to ensure our list was still accurate. It amazes me how many cancel when sent the link to do so instead of canceling when they no longer need service. 99 percent of the cancellations we received over the weekend were new customers. It goes to show how many are paying attention.
Speaking of paying attention, I want to try something. Anyone who reads our daily posts I would like to hear from you. Just leave a comment on this post. It doesn’t have to be anything profound, just a hello and whether you are a new or repeat customer. We shall see who is actually paying attention. I know we have readers who don’t even live in the area anymore and like to read our posts.

I’m a new customer and have to say I was quite confused with the process, but have slowly been figuring it out (hunting on the website and found the blog which has been super helpful). I appreciated the email I received this weekend and it would’ve been super helpful to have received that when I initially filed out my form – it had lots of good information in it for new customers. I’m sticking it out and hoping we get our sprinklers blown out before the rates go up on November 10th. Thank you!
Michelle, the rates won’t go up for you. The rate increase is for those who sign up on November 10 and later as it states on our form. (New Requests)
I received the email. I keep watching the list about every day. Glad I got on before you shut Kuna down.
Jordan, thanks for commenting. We are hoping to be in Kuna tomorrow with two rigs if we can get a handle on the day. Brian was having vehicle problems this morning, so it will throw off our game some.
Hello!! Repeat customer here. Thank you for all you guys do!
Thanks for the kind words, Patricia, and for coming back again this year
Hello. Repeat cust.
Thanks Randy for coming back this year
Michelle, thanks for writing. The reason why that email or one like it isn’t sent out when you signed up is because the majority of that info is in the terms of service you read when you signed up.
I’m reading your daily posts, it very helpful.
Hi David, thank you for your comment
David R
I sent in my form a couple of months ago. But I have not heard any thing from you. Did you get my form and an I on your list for a blowout? Please let me know.
David, I checked our database and your request did not go through. Keep an eye on your texts later today. I will send you a message.
Nice job communicating!
New customer
Rene, Thanks for commenting and sticking with us. We will see you soon
New customer
Gillian, thanks for sticking it out with us. We will get you taken care of
Hello! New 🙂
Hi Jenn, thanks for sticking with us
Hello! Repeat customer 🙂
Farren, thanks for commenting
I’m paying attention. Repeat customer here.
Thanks, Steve. I remember the first time we met. I was exhausted and on my way home when my wife called me and asked me to go over to your place because I think you got bailed on my someone else.
This old squid still here, checking blog posts at 0400 over a fresh cup of go go juice
Hi Jeremy. Still with us after all these years. Thank you!
I don’t often pay attention, but when I do, it’s here.
When I was a kid I never paid attention in school. I would just show up on test day and ace the test. My counselor told me, “I was too poor to “Pay” attention.” She was probably right. We could barely rub to nickels together. Thanks for sticking with us!
Returning customer. I’m on the list right?
Yep, we have your request. Thanks for coming back
Repeat customer. I am on the list, right?
Yep, we have you. Thanks for commenting
Thanks Steve this is my second year using your team. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you Austin!
Hi there! I’m a repeat customer and I read your daily posts.
Regards,
Steve T
Thanks for sticking with us. I will try to make my posts a little more entertaining, but sometimes I am just too darn tired!
Hello, new customer here. I’m glad I read the posts because I didn’t realize I received an email this weekend. It went to my junk folder and with the amount of spam mail I receive, it got lost in the weeds. No harm done since I definitely still need the sprinkler blowout!
Thanks for writing. We have your request. You probably didn’t get our email because you have Hotmail, and unfortunately we have found that unreliable
Always so helpful reading this and knowing when I will see your smiling faces! Longtime customer and will continue to be!
Hi Tiffany, I probably shouldn’t say this publicly because others might get jealous, but you have been my favorite customer for so long I can’t even remember. I miss not being out doing your blowout myself and visiting. The last time I was personally at your house was 2019 and you were home. I think it has been in the area of 15 years at least for you guys
New customer here. I appreciate the daily updates and information you have been giving.
Thank you Meghan!
Congrats on making it to week six! May it be a productive and drama free one. Looking forward to seeing y’all when you make it back to 83642.
Thanks Tammi. We will be in the Meridian for a while. The city is 35 percent of all our blowouts this season, up from 30 percent last year
Happy Monday. I am a new customer. Hope you all have a good day.
Thanks for your comment, Kelli, and for sticking with us
New customer. Thanks!
Hi Meghan, thanks for sticking it out with us
Thank you for all your hard work. I am a repeat customer.
Thanks for the comment Jason and being a repeat customer
I’m paying attention and silently confident that you will get to me as you always do.
Hey Ryan, thanks for commenting. Yes, we will get to you as we always do
Hello! I wish you still had the calendar available so I could have an idea when you will be swinging by. I would suspect many people feel in the dark as it can take several weeks after submission to have the blowout completed. Thanks for considering.
We took the calendar down partly because of the comment you just made. Just because we are going to be in a certain zip code it doesn’t mean that yours will get done on that day. Most zip codes have more than we can do in a day, and we were tired of all the texts from customers wondering why their blowout wasn’t done when we were in their zip code. All this was explained in the email sent out on Saturday that I doubt you received because you have an AOL address which is not reliable.
2nd time customer, received the email the other night which means were close to getting our sprinklers blown out – thanks!
Thanks for commenting Kevin. Yes, we are on the downhill stretch!
New customer here. Thanks for the texts and blog updates.
Thanks Gene for sticking with us
New customer here! This big update is actually really cool and nice to see. Was all of 83709 taken care of by chance?
Thanks for commenting Vincent. We are only 49% contained in the 83709, which means we are about half-way finished with the zip code
Hi, I am a newish customer. Appreciate the email, but like it was mentioned above it would have been nice to know about the blog posts earlier. Maybe it is on the website and I just missed it. Thanks for the info on pre- winterizing, as I am new to the whole sprinkler system.
Howdy, thanks for commenting. All the information you just mentioned was in the terms of service you read when you signed up.
The post is definitely helpful to understand routes and will wait for the “night before” text! look forward to the continued business, you and team have always been reliable, quick, and with great service!
Thanks for commenting Jake with the kind words!
This is our third year with you guys. Just look at the blog each morning and wait for the text or email the night before. The blast email that was sent over the weekend went to my junk box, so be sure check that as well.
Stephanie, thanks for sticking with us and reminding everyone to check their junk mail. Hopefully others read your comment.
I check the routes daily as the last 2 years we didn’t receive a text the night before someone stopped by. Been waiting patiently as I know you’re super busy this year. We are hopeful you can get to the 83646 soon so we can wrap up our final fall checklist.
Thank you for all the hard work and long hours
Misti, thank you for the kind comment. We currently have 280 left in your zip code, and have completed 237 out of 517. We will whittle that down quickly once we take care of the areas we have closed so that we can concentrate on oru local neighbors and the 83709
Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for all you do! I’m a returning customer and I wholly trust the process for signing up for sprinkler blowouts. I find it easy to understand and I appreciate the transparency. Even though we now live in Utah, I have complete confidence that our sprinklers at our Nampa property will be taken care of. I also appreciate the timely responses I receive if and when I have questions, which is not often. Again, thank you for you for keeping us well informed and updated as always. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for the kind words. We will be back to finish Nampa very soon
Thank you for keeping us in the loop!
Thank you Will for checking in
Hello – Repeat customer here and I start reading your blog in mid-September. Keep up the Good Work!
Thanks Sam for your comment, and sticking with us another year
Thanks
Thanks for commenting Nick showing you are here
New customer. The weekend email was great for me as my husband filled out the original paperwork. Thanks!
Macy, glad you received the email, because I am getting reports of some who didn’t. My old joke is NASA can put a rover on Mars, but we can’t get an email to go across town. Most of the email was just rehash of what is already in our terms that are agreed to on signup and a way to “thin the herd” of those who didn’t cancel when they should have
Greetings Steve. I check here every day, an entertaining ritual during the season. Appreciate the detailed updates, especially the dispensing of common sense. Thanks for the great service over the years.
Will, thank you for being a customer for a long time. Much appreciated. I try to keep it entertaining, but sometimes my frustration comes out with what I have to deal with day to day that I shouldn’t have to
Repeat customer. Looks like Friday you hit 83709 but I didn’t see my street on that list. Are you coming back around to my area at some point?
Thanks for commenting Parker. As in every year, it takes several passes to clean up the largest zip code in the Boise area. We are currently 49% contained, so we will be back.
Thank you for the e-mail and the informative daily blog. I am a repeat customer, and I watch daily for when 83713 will be on the schedule! I appreciate the hard work and long hours all of you put in this time of year.
Thanks Glenda for commenting, and for your patience
I sent my form in August but I didn’t received an email this weekend asking if I still wanted a sprinkler blow out. I do. Am I one your list?
Hi Danene. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We do have your request, but I am guessing the reason you didn’t receive our email is because your service provider is MSN. We have found that Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, and AOL are not reliable at all. Many times our emails will bounce from a reply we send regarding an inquiry that says the email address doesn’t exist when it obviously does since we received an email from that address
Simple to schedule for an easy service. These blog posts amaze me every year at the sheer amount of people who are either impatient, or simply can’t read.
See y’all around my yard soon. Thank you.
Thanks Eric for your comment. It is getting better. We are getting far less non-cancellations this year than we have had in several years. I am not sure if the problem is impatience, or lack of trust that we will get the job done. The reason I think this is 99 percent of our cancellations have been new customers that really don’t know us
Repeat customer.
Hi Trevor, thanks for responding and being a repeat customer
New Customer just requested over the weekend, this blog works for me.
Dave, thanks for signing up and checking out the blog. We figured out nearly 15 years ago that this was the best way to get info out to a lot of people at one time. We can’t always rely on emails or texts going through, but as long as our server is up we can guarantee our posts. We only had a server outage once that I can recall, and it during winter when activity was slow
Hello! I am a repeat customer. I enjoy the blog updates!
Thanks Kylie for responding and being a repeat customer!
I’ve been a customer for years. I am subscribed to your blog via my email client so I’m usually “in the loop”. However, I really rely on the text notifications.
That said, this year I was home when your guy showed up…which is a good thing because my valve box was completely hidden under fresh gravel from earlier in the year. In spite of “knowing” what needs to be available because of your almost daily rant :-), it never occurred to me to check because my stuff is always good. Fortunately, I realized before he actually had to ask me and got it uncovered without making him wait.
I’ve wondered how many folks actually monitor the blog, but I ‘m guessing it is a tiny portion of your customer base. You provide a lot of info via the blog, but I’m guessing the “problem” customers aren’t reading it (or any of the info you make available). It is too bad, but not really unexpected.
Hi Kelly. Every time you post anything, or write a review, you are always extremely informative with information that many others can use. Thank you for that, and for being a customer for seems like 15-20 years by now. I hope others read your comment
Year two for me. I appreciate the blog updates and helpful information on winterizing the back flow device.
Thank you for coming back Peter. I created the backflow instructions 5 years ago when I saw the area growth explode but still be low on qualified technicians to blow out systems. Even though there are several more out there now, it is still hard to keep up, and many of those doing blowouts disappear for the following year
Repeat here. I read the blog everyday as I anxiously wait to see my street in 83642 to be posted.
Derek, we got hit harder than usual in all areas of the valley this year but especially in Meridian when our friend and competitor Dave Meine cut back his service area to Star, Middleton, and Kuna only. We will get to everyone that stays with us
I’m a repeat customer and the Blog helps so much to keep me posted about how the progress is going. The sign-up form was not functioning for a while, but I finally got through. Thanks!
Des, thanks for your comment. We have found the Google form does great for Android customers or those using a computer, but it doesn’t like the Safari browser. Many iPhone have problems, but it isn’t the form, or the person submitting. iPhones can be a problem by themselves. We have heard of people who can’t find out website on their iPhone because it says our site doesn’t exist, when in fact it has been up since 1997. We call Apple products “Fruity” products around here
I greatly appreciate the blog posts, helps tremendously! Did you guys close out 83709?
Hello Vincent. We have not closed out the 83709. We leave that zip code open until the last minute, basically. It is currently 49% contained, meaning about half-way finished
Hello. Return customer (though we skipped last year).
Meghann, thanks for commenting, and thanks for coming back!
Hi Steve!
Repeat customer here and I enjoy your daily updates:)
I put in our request a couple months ago and did not receive the email. Do you know if my request went through?
Thank you for all you do!
Shauna, thanks for commenting. Yes, we have your request
You’re all doing a great job…keep it up!
New customer from 83709
Thanks for sticking with us
Hi Steve, repeat customer since last Spring. I thought I would automatically be put on your list for Fall but when I didn’t hear anything I put in a request about 3-4 weeks ago. Thank you for the updates. I am attempting to winterize my back flow preventer tomorrow as I see the temps will be below freezing for a couple of nights.
Donna, thanks for commenting. You only really need to winterize if your backflow is above ground. Anything underground will be fine. If you have issues, text me and I can walk you through it
It is above ground, I have read your instructions and the pic is excellent, so I shall give it a go. Thank you for being willing to help via text, I may need that.
Things will be hectic because my wife has knee surgery today, but I will still try and keep tabs on what is going on in Sprinkler Blowout Land
I’m a repeat customer. I love reading your blog every day. I’m patiently waiting for sprinkler blowout. Thank you for your hard work!
Hi Diana. Thanks for being a LONG-time customer. We took care of your rental, and we will get to you, I promise
Repeat customer here… reading updates so I don’t miss when you’re planning to visit. For some reason I didn’t receive a text prior to service last year, but you got the job done anyway. Trying to make sure the valve boxes aren’t buried by leaves when you come.
Thanks Scott for commenting and being a repeat customer
I submitted request form on 10/14 but did not receive an email during the weekend. Do you have me on your list for blowouts? Please let me know.
Yes, we have your request. I am sure you didn’t get the email because you have a hotmail account which is proven unreliable. I would consider another email service provider other than Yahoo, MSN, or AOL
Hi Steven,
My submitted 2 requests to have the sprinkler blowout, but I don’t hear from you since then, and I can not find the 2023 blowout calendar, do you have one so I can see when it will be done ? And I am a repeating customer.
The calendar was taken down which was explained in the email you were sent on Saturday that you most likely didn’t get because you have a Yahoo address which is the most unreliable of all the free email providers. It was also explained in one of our blog posts. As for service date, the best I can tell you is that we will let you know the night before we will be at your property as you read in our terms when you signed up
I don’t read every night, but I do monitor the status so I have an idea when you will be around my way. I have been a customer for many years. I appreciate what you do, and know that you are not just a ‘guy with a truck and a compressor’ trying to make a buck.
I’m here for the long haul, sign up early, and just wait my turn. You have never let me down.
Thank you Joseph. We surely appreciate the kind words and repeat business
Thank you. We’re a repeat customer sine we moved here five years ago.
Thanks for commenting and stay with us the entire time you have been here. Very much appreciated
New customer in 83642! I’ve been enjoying your blog posts. Thank you for all your team does!
Thank you Brooke!
New customer here in Meridian. My husband and I are both trying to read your blog posts every day.
Thank you Courtney. Not always anything earth shattering, but informative most of the time
Repeat, thanks for all you guys do!
Thanks Diamond for sticking with us another year
Hello! Repeat customer as well! Love that you post the areas every day
Thanks Steven. We know your property very well, and are good friends of the previous owner as I watched Gus grow up over the years and have kids of his own that are older than when we first met him. We go to their family restaurant, Fiesta Guadalajara at least once a week.
