Opening Day: And So It Begins…

Today is opening day!

For the next seven to nine weeks, our days will consist of compressors, hoses, hundreds of miles of driving, thousands of sprinkler zones, questionable backyard access, dogs who aren’t nearly as friendly as their owners claim, and a phone that apparently believes sleep is optional.

Around the office, we have a more technical term for this time of year:

When the defecation hits the oscillation.

Yes, sprinkler blowout season has officially arrived.

Starting today, our crews will be working their way across the Treasure Valley, blowing out sprinkler systems and trying to stay one step ahead of Mother Nature. Over the next several weeks, we’ll complete hundreds of stops as efficiently as possible before freezing temperatures decide they’d like to participate.

If you’ve been with us for a few years, you already know how this works. We don’t schedule individual appointment times for sprinkler blowouts. Trying to schedule hundreds of customers scattered across the Treasure Valley into traditional appointment windows would turn an already chaotic season into something requiring professional counseling.

Instead, we organize customers geographically and build routes that keep our crews moving efficiently from one property to the next. We’ll text you the night before we come so you know to expect us.

And in most cases, you don’t need to be home.

We’ll take care of the sprinkler blowout, send your invoice electronically, and move on to the next stop. Simple.

At least that’s the theory.

Every year Mother Nature throws us a few curveballs, somebody forgets to unlock a gate, a compressor decides it would rather retire, and at least one person contacts us in November absolutely shocked to discover that Idaho gets cold.

It’s part of the adventure.

We’ll also be posting here every day throughout sprinkler blowout season with updates, tips, reminders, weather information, behind-the-scenes chaos, and probably a little sarcasm. By the time the last sprinkler system is blown out, you’ll either know far more about sprinkler winterization than you ever wanted to know—or you’ll simply be entertained watching us slowly lose our minds.

Either way, welcome to the 2026 sprinkler blowout season.

Opening day is here.

Fire up the compressors.

Let’s go.
