Services are moving right along here in Sprinkler Blowout Land. At the rate we’re going, it looks like we’ll finish the bulk of our blowouts earlier than expected. And by “bulk,” I mean the folks who signed up sometime this century — not the ones who wait until their lawn sounds crunchy.
We’re still getting new requests every day, but the schedule is steady and manageable. Don’t get me wrong — we’re not ready to shut things down just yet. We actually like our job, chaos and all. So I’ve put out a few feelers to catch those classics: “Oops… I forgot to blow out my sprinklers.”
I get it — life happens. But I still can’t help but wonder how anyone forgets when we’re out here leaving a breadcrumb trail of tow-behind compressors, air hoses, and giant bursts of compressed air echoing through the subdivisions. It’s like driving past a parade every day and then being shocked to learn a parade was happening.
But hey… we’re here for the procrastinators too.
Eddie will be working a full day today, but Ben can only knock out about half a normal load — he’s got a commitment early this afternoon. He’ll make up the remaining work on Sunday.
Speaking of the weekend… Eddie is begging for more work. Or maybe “begging” isn’t the right word — more like confidently claiming he can handle it, right up until the moment he remembers he’s human.
If he works this weekend, that puts him straight into Monday through Friday next week as well. That’s 12 days in a row.
Twelve.
If that doesn’t drop him straight into his recliner for a 48-hour recovery nap afterward, I don’t know what will.
But hey — the man loves his job. Even if his job occasionally tries to see how much love he really has.

I am so glad you are here for those of us who procrastinate! Honestly, the warm weather this fall had my mind in a spin and we had our sprinklers on even to the end of October. Our lawn isn’t crunchy yet, but I’m mindful we are working against Mother Nature’s timeline and she is unpredictable, especially in November.
