Sprinkler Blowouts For Friday, November 22, 2019

Jacob and Jesse did great in the 83646 yesterday and lessened our blowouts in the zip code by 30.  This is good considering Jesse didn’t get started until later in the day because of his appointment.  Me, on the other hand, did not have a good day.

For starters, I woke up to NO VOICE at all from coughing all night.  Then I went in for my ablation and they wouldn’t do it because I was coughing my head off.  (Makes sense, wouldn’t want the surgeon to go, “oops!” because I moved.  Plus being sedated somewhat and coughing not a good combination.  To add to that I find out the reason I am miserable is I have a sinus infection.  I went 50+ years without ever having one, and now it seems I get them twice a year or more.  With that being said, if you see me today and I don’t talk much it is probably because I can’t, or shouldn’t.  I need to get my voice back so I can bark orders at my technicians.  🙂

We have to replace 100 feet of hose on Jacob’s machine in the morning, which we will pick up from our favorite local supplier on Overland in Meridian before he can get on the road.  Our hoses take a beating every year as they get drug through rocks, rose bushes, fence boards, chewed on by dogs, etc.

We have moved on to the Meridian 83642 for the next two days of sprinkler blowouts.  If all goes well I expect to lessen our 83642 list by 52 by the end of the day.  Jacob being able to go out again yesterday was a big help.  Again, with the way he has been feeling, it is touch and go every day whether he can go out or not.  I have my fingers crossed this will be another good day for him.

Jesse got quite frustrated yesterday because he blew out a sprinkler system, sent the owner a text that they were done, and was told they had already been done and thanks anyway.  Folks, that isn’t the way it works.  If you haven’t canceled, and we show up and no one is home and we hook up to do the blowout it will be billed as a blowout as stated in our terms.  With this particular instance on Redwick Dr., they were sent an email with an opportunity to cancel, a text with an opportunity to cancel, and still no cancellation.  Not to mention the fact that you have to check a box that you understand how to cancel, and also agree to the terms and the part about cancellations.  It can’t be made any clearer than that…….

Anyway, on to the streets on our routes today.

Good Morning, I signed up on 7 Nov 2019 and I live in Star. Just curious as to when you will be in my area. Based on your knowledge, do you think I need to cancel and find someone else or will you have done my house prior to December?

We are set to go to Star on December 1, but it could end up earlier than that because we have made some great progress in the last few days. Depends on whether we can keep it up

Noticed 83709 is scheduled for next Monday/Tuesday. Do you know if W Middle Fork will be done on those days? Just starting to get a little concerned with the dropping temperatures and snow coming next week.

I don’t know where we will be until the night before because our list constantly changes and I don’t want to have to redo it several times. As for the dropping temperatures, the ground temperature hasn’t left the mid 40’s yet, so no problem there. Snow, if it actually sticks, is a good ground insulator as well. If it doesn’t stick, then obviously the ground temperature is still quite warm at the surface.

How far out is S. Bayou Bar Way Meridian in the 83642 areas your starting today?

    Thanks

I can’t tell you how far out because we don’t route until the night before since our list constantly changes. I do know that if today goes well we will have taken care of a third of our list in the zip code in one day.

on Wednesday the low is 19. Do I need to worry about pipes freezing?

Everything underground will be fine. Anything above ground should be drained of water like filters, backflows, etc. The ground temperature is still in the mid-40’s, and that won’t change for quite some time since the daytime highs have been 50 degrees and up

    Thanks.

We haven’t finished your zip. We can only do so many in each two-day allotment. Our next days in the zip code are Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday

I signed up to have my sprinklers blown out at the beginning of October. We live on Anton drive off of Meridian road. Do you know how long until you get to us. I’d hate to cancel since we used your service last year. Any clue how long until you get to us?

Our next days in the Meridian 83646 are Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday, and that should finish them all out providing we have all 3 machines on the road except for Sunday when I am on my own

    Is Bainbridge coming up soon?

Our to-do list changes daily, and sometimes several times a day, so we don’t route the next day’s jobs until late the night before so we don’t have to keep doing it over and over again. Our next trip to the Meridian 83646 will be Sunday, then Wednesday, and Friday, and that should finish off the zip code as long as we don’t run into any problems along the way to slow us down.
