Jerry had a pretty smooth day yesterday with some overtime in the Meridian 83646. He completed 18 blowouts off our list and then picked up one off the street. He was originally set for 20 on the list but he found one locked gate and another had a main valve broken and couldn’t be turned off without it leaking everywhere.
Trevor will be working today to pick up some more overtime as well. Everyone is usually on overtime by the time Friday gets here. He says he wants to work 6-7 days a week. We shall see how long that lasts. Sprinkler blowouts are not difficult, but the job can be overwhelming because of the large amount we do each season.
Trevor will be working in the Meridian 83646 today but I am not posting a route, and I didn’t contact anyone last night that someone was coming. I do my best to let people know we are coming, but being in this unique situation where irrigation has been shut down early, some still with irrigation from wells or holding ponds, incorrect information on forms, etc., it is too difficult for the number we have in Meridian to put an accurate route together. There is a route, but I am going to be monitoring it closely to see who has water and who does not, who put irrigation on their form when they actually use city water, etc. That way I can make quick changes along the way by adding in properties and removing others we cannot do. This could mean a lot of driving around for Trevor, but hopefully, this is the only time I will feel this is necessary.
Our calendar is updated for the next few days for anyone who wants to look, and I will be updating it more today and tomorrow to hopefully get us through the week.
