Yep! We Finally Have An Update!

Be prepared. This is probably the longest post I have ever written!

Domain Issues:

Our domain recently went down due to a renewal issue. Despite having an automatic payment profile set up since 1999, there was a glitch, leaving us in the lurch. Currently, we’re in a back-and-forth with them, but they’ve granted us a 30-day extension to sort it out. In the meantime, I’ve decided to switch to a new domain host. Dealing with tech support was challenging, as it seemed there was a language barrier hindering communication.

Surgery Update:

My wife underwent knee replacement surgery recently, but the recovery has been a bit bumpy. She was discharged shortly after the procedure, leading to a couple of falls at home. This resulted in her surgical wounds reopening, necessitating another surgery the following day for repair and antibiotic treatment. She’s now using a walker but still requires assistance with mobility, keeping me busy going up and down stairs frequently.

Join Our Team:

We’re on the lookout for skilled individuals to join our team, particularly those with experience in sprinkler systems. Additional skills are a big plus, given our full-service repair company status. We need immediate assistance and anticipate the need for more techs come the sprinkler blowout season this fall.

Backflow Tests:

We are scheduling backflow testing routes by when the test is due. For instance, if a test is due May 1, we will do them in April, a June 1 due date will be done in May, and so on. In Meridian, their database that we can access as testers to input test results doesn’t activate a report link until the due date is 30 days out. We can do them earlier by request, but we have to create a report form at Meridian Water ourselves.

It’s a common misconception that water usage must cease until testing is completed; however, this isn’t the case. You are more than welcome to turn your water on while waiting for a backflow test. We’ll ensure minimal disruption and advise on any necessary repairs or replacements.

In the spring of 2025, we will be eliminating Package C which we currently have under Sprinkler Startup Packages because it is the same thing as just getting a backflow test. Having two different forms for what is the same thing is monotonous, and takes us extra time to process.

Here is the backflow testing route for today:

Sprinkler Startups

We’ve been busy with sprinkler startups, primarily for Package A and Package C customers, while waiting for irrigation water to flow. With water expected to be available throughout the valley this week, we’ll be tackling all package types.

For more detailed information or to schedule services, feel free to reach out to us. We’re here to ensure your property’s system are in top shape!
